Yesterday I went to a brunch party for a friend of a friend’s birthday. I was meeting new people (fabulous lesbians that made me feel like I was on an episode of the L word in the most fabulous way possible), getting my brunch drink on (prosecco with frozen berry ice cubes, yum) when all of a sudden I felt woozy and SO tired. I was wondering whether it was a side effect of the partying Aubrey and I had indulged in the night before, but then I remembered I had taken two not non-drowsy (aka DROWSY) benadryl that morning, and then had three drinks. I ended up taking a nap in their neighbor’s bed for two hours. Apparently I slept with my sunglasses on, which is very mama took too many vicodin, except in this case it’s benadryl.
I wish this was the first time I mixed booze and otc meds, but sadly, it has happened once before. When I was in college, my friend invited me to a house party, and even though I was still getting over a cold, I decided to go. I took some Robitussin before I went though, so I wouldn’t be gross and cough all over people. I actually read the label where it said “consult a physician if you will be drinking” or whatever, and I literally thought “eh i’m sure my doctor will be cool with it.” And so I drank like...a PINT AND A HALF of gin while pregaming (seriously, one of my drinks was in a pint glass and was 7/8 gin and 1/8 orange juice). Needless to say, I was really fucked up. I couldn’t walk on my own to the house party, and as soon as I got there, i went out on the back deck and started throwing up. I was...mortified. But anyway, you’d think I would have learned my lesson, but I guess not. Note to self: don’t mix booze with pills or cough syrups.

Sister wives. GROSS.
I watched this trailer for some new TLC show on Dlisted and it reminded me of a dream I had a while ago where I was one of the wives in a polygamous marriage, and for some reason I was totally fine with that. The man and the other wife were white. I don’t know who they were, but they were both kind of older than me. You know what it was like? It was as if Woody Allen had married Soon-yi in addition to being with Mia Farrow. In this sitch I was Soon-yi. (Asian and non-white, younger, etc.)
ANYWAY. So in my dream, I was super happy in the marriage until my husband and my sister wife (EW sorry, but it had to be done) decide to have a baby, and I said “Ooh, yay, we can have babies too!” My husband then said “oooh...yeahhhh...um, I thought you didn’t want to have babies?” and he seemed SO not into the idea of having kids with me that I went ballistic and said “You only want to have white babies. You’re a RACIST!” and broke up with him.
Conclusion: I am weird.

SOUL MATES!
**Caution: extreme emotional weeping may occur.**
Videos about how old people are in love are amazing, and never fail to make me weep openly. I cried in the middle of the day watching this:
That reaction barely compares to when I saw this movie ("La Maison en Petits Cubes"), the winner of the 2009 Oscar for best animated short film. I was in the library during the summer (working for a professor) and actually was weeping openly and the professor I worked for walked by with a really concerned look on his face. It was probably why he was so nice to me, even though saying I did no work is being extremely generous.

Je suis une loser
Now that I'm unemployed and destitute, I have nothing but time on my hands! That's why I had time today to make a chart of all the TV shows I'm SO EXCITED to watch in a couple weeks. Here is my weekly TV schedule:
Sunday: Dexter
Monday: How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, Castle
Tuesday: Glee
Wednesday: Modern Family, Cougartown, Criminal Minds
Thursday: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Bones, Fringe, Community
Friday: [rest]
Saturday: COLLEGE FOOTBALL
My eyes are going to melt and bleed down my face, and I am PUMPED for that to happen. ...Somebody please give me a job so my brain doesn't completely atrophy.

I am a bad person
for completely forgetting that I have two blogs. I just posted to the other one here, and now i'm updating this one. I mean, I feel like I have a pretty good excuse (taking the bar, moving, ETCETERA) but still, it doesn't make up for the fact that I have been neglectful. And I apologize for that.
Here's what I've been up to: took the bar, moved my stuff to baltimore, flew out to LA, went on a quick bar trip to Vegas, and now i'm staying in Aubrey's mom's house where I have my own room and i get to play with three cute dogs all day. They can be a bit bark-y, but adorable nonetheless. My plan is to stay here FOREVER (ha i wish) while I look for a job, but that's pretty annoying too. more on that later.
I finished watching all of Avatar: the Last Airbender (the animated version), and it is SO GOOD. I didn't watch the M Night Shamalandfkdjdlfkj version because I heard from every single person on the planet that it was the worst movie ever. And now that I've watched the show in its entirety, I'm even more sad that the movie was so bad. Seriously, check it out on netflix instant. SO worth the time.

Update!
.jpg)
I've been really bad about updating about my life, so here is a quick recap to get me back on track:
1) The Blackhawks won the STANLEY CUP!!!! The (literally) hundreds of dollars I spent on beer this playoff season was TOTALLY worth it.
2) I graduated on Saturday! YAY I'm a lawyer. We were hooded (KKK anyone?) and our law school speaker was Martha Nussbaum, who is super into free love and sexual freedom. Her speech literally went: "This speech COULD be about the importance of sexual freedoms...but it won't." There was literally a collective sigh of relief in the CHAPEL where the hooding was held.
3) At the graduation party we held at Aubrey R's apt, I was waiting to fetch my parents from their car when I SAW JONATHAN TOEWS IN THE FLESH. He was on the phone and i just stared and told my mom excitedly but she had no idea who he was nor did she care. His mom saw me flip out though and thought i was cute. no big deal. HI future mother in law! (i'm only 40% kidding) Seriously I kind of forgot I graduate when I saw him. BEST DAY EVER!
4) South Korea beat Greece! Also, did you know that North Korea is in the World Cup? I had...NO idea. I'm a bad Korean.
Um, I think that's it...I ate SO much food when my family was in town and I've been in a food coma for the past day. It feels awesome.
